The wicked will be judged “according to what he has done” (Romans 2:6) at the Great White Throne Judgment following the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ.  Then the concluding moment when death and Hades are ultimately thrown into the lake of fire.  The Lord Christ Jesus will indeed put all His enemies under His feet.  “The Lord says to my Lord: ‘Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.’ ” – Psalm 110:1.  It is written.

Christ Jesus has already conquered death: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” (1 Timothy 1:15), and by His dying on the cross for the sins of the world and rising from the dead, Christ Jesus achieved victory over Death.

The final and concluding victory will be when death and Hades are once and for all put under the Lord’s feet (Revelation 20:14).  The Beast and the False Prophet are the first to be cast into the Lake of Fire, following Armageddon (Revelation 19:20).  Satan is the next to be cast into the Lake of Fire when he is released from his prison after the millennium and fails in his final war against the Lord (Revelation 20:7-10).  Click here for post: Revelation 20 – After the 1,000 Years

“He will swallow up death for all time.” – Isaiah 25:8

“Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.” – Hebrews 2:14

“Shall I ransom them from the power of Sheol?  Shall I redeem them from death?  O Death, where are your thorns?  O Sheol, where is your sting?” – Hosea 13:14

“…then will come about the saying that is written, ‘Death is swallowed up in victory.  O Death, where is your victory?  O Death, where is your sting?’ ” – 1 Corinthians 15:54-55

“…who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 1:4

“…but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” – 2 Timothy 1:10

“Because you will not abandon my soul to Hades, nor allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.” – Acts 2:27. Peter was quoting here from Psalm 16:10, of David’s, as he addressed the crowd at Pentecost.

“Jesus said to them, ‘…for they cannot even die anymore, because they are like angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.’ ” – Luke 20:36

“ ‘I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.’ ” – Revelation 1:17-18

“…so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.” – Hebrews 9:28

“ ‘Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.’ ” – John 5:28-29

After the Great White Throne Judgment: “Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.  This is the second death, the lake of fire.” – Revelation 20:14

“…then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power.  For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.  The last enemy that will be abolished is death.” – 1 Corinthians 15:24-26

“…and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” – Revelation 21:4
