Rewards – at the Rapture

Christ Jesus brings the saints’ rewards at His Second Coming.  First there is their judgment – then they receive their rewards. The following is a selection of Scripture verses on this topic.

“ ‘Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.’ ” – Revelation 22:12-13

“Behold, the Lord God will come with might, with His arm ruling for Him.  Behold, His reward is with Him and His recompense before Him.” – Isaiah 40:10

“Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth, say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Lo, your salvation comes; behold His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him.’ ” – Isaiah 62:11

When do the saints receive their rewards:

“each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each mans’ work.  If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward.  If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.” – 1 Corinthians 3:13-15

Christ Jesus brings His reward with Him at His Second Coming.  Based on the above scripture, each man’s work will be tested – by fire – before he receives his reward.  This testing is the judgment by Jesus – “Christ will judge the world” – Acts 17:31.  “The court sat, and the books were opened” – Daniel 7:10.  They don’t receive their rewards until He tests their work.  The believers’ judgment is at Christ’s Return.  They then receive their rewards, and it’s after that that His saints follow the Lord Jesus as He conquers the armies at Armageddon.  Judgment Day for all the unsaved will be at the Great White Throne Judgment following the Millennium.

“there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.” – 2 Timothy 4:8
