First Four Trumpets and the 144,000

First Four Trumpets‘The First Four Trumpets’:

“And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.” – Revelation 8:2

“After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.” – Revelation 7:1

“Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God.  He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: ‘Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.’ – Revelation 7:2-3

‘144,000 Sealed’ / ‘A Remnant of Israel – 144,000’ /  ‘God’s people will be preserved’:

“From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben 12,000, from the tribe of Gad 12,000, from the tribe of Asher 12,000, from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000, from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000, from the tribe of Simeon 12,000, from the tribe of Levi 12,000, from the tribe of Issachar 12,000, from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000, from the tribe of Joseph 12,000, from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000.”  – Revelation 7:5-8

“Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.” – Revelation 7:4

‘The Trumpets’:

“Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.” – Revelation 8:6

1st Trumpet:

“The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down upon the earth.  A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.” – Revelation 8:7

2nd Trumpet:

“The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea; and a third of the sea turned into blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.” – Revelation 8:8-9

3rd Trumpet:

“The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water – the name of the star is Wormwood [poisonous].  A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.” – Revelation 8:10-11

4th Trumpet:

“The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned dark.  A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.” – Revelation 8:12

First Woe:

“And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, ‘Woe!  Woe!  Woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!’ “ – Revelation 8:13
