7th bowl poured out – Revelation 16:17

Summary of Judgments:

  • fire
  • thunderstorm with great hail and lightning
  • rumblings/tremors from the severe earthquake that cause every mountain and island to be removed, causes Babylon to be split into three parts and causes the cities of the nations to collapse
  • This great earthquake will also trigger a tsunami [the millstone thrown into the sea – Revelation 18:21] that completely, permanently annihilates previously-devastated Babylon.  She’s indeed given God’s second cup of wrath.  And the sun – God – the light – is gone from her.  And the moon – Jesus Christ – that turns blood red – bears the blood of all ever killed, because of sin and wickedness.

In Luke 4:16-21 – when Jesus went into the synagogue of His hometown Nazareth – and He stood up to read: “The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him.  Unrolling it, He foundjudgments the place where it is written: ‘The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.’  Then He rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down.  The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, and he began by saying to them, ‘Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.’ ”
