Isaiah’s Prophecies in the Book of Revelation
It is estimated that approximately one third of the Bible is prophecy.
Some of the prophecy has already occurred. For example: the Lord’s first coming; the dispersement of the 10 Northern Tribes in 721 B.C. by the Assyrians; the destruction of Jerusalem and the Babylonian captivity in 586 B.C. and the destruction of Jerusalem again in 70 A.D. by Titus and the Romans.
Much of the other prophecy written by the prophets is about the End Times.
This article pairs the Prophet Isaiah’s and (primarily) the Book of Revelation’s prophecies regarding the same events. Space does not allow for a complete study, however the following is quite interesting.
Third Seal Judgment: Plagues and Famine:
- “You have forgotten God your saviour; you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress. Therefore, though you set out the finest plants and plant imported vines, though on the day you set them out…yet the harvest will be as nothing in the day of disease and incurable pain.” – Isaiah 17:10-11
- “When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, ‘Come.’ I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand…” [famine] – Revelation 6:5
First Trumpet Judgment: Fire and drought:
- “Behold, the Lord lays the earth waste, devastates it, distorts its surface and scatters its inhabitants…the earth will be completely laid waste and completely despoiled, for the Lord has spoken this word…the earth is also polluted by its inhabitants, for they transgressed laws, violated statutes, broke the everlasting covenant…Therefore, a curse devours the earth, and those who live in it are held guilty. Therefore, the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men are left.” – Isaiah 24:1-6

Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you…Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
