The Lord spoke many, many times concerning the Day of the Lord and about everything that will happen on that one, special day. He used various phrases like ‘the Day of the Lord’, ‘the last day(s)’, ‘in that day’ and ‘the day’, etc to describe the Lord’s Day.
The Day of the Lord consists of:
- the seventh trumpet
- the Rapture of the saints
- the saints face their judgment and receive their rewards and crowns from the Lord Jesus Christ
- then the wrath of the Lord descends on the unsaved
- Armageddon included in that
- glimpses into the Millennium
(It will also be an unusually long day as prophesied in Isaiah 28:21 and Habakkuk 3:11. It might very well be a repeat of Joshua’s Long Day – Joshua 10:12-13. Click here for details: Books of Nahum and Habakkuk – End Times Prophecy – and search for ‘Joshua’s Long Day’.)
