‘The Messages of the 3 Angels’

‘Vision of the Angel with the Gospel’:

The first of the 3 Angels: Revelation 14:6-7 – “And I saw another angel flying in midheaven, having an eternal gospel to preach to those who live on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people; and he said with a loud voice, ‘Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.’ “

Everyone is commanded to fear, glorify and worship God:

• Psalm 2:11-12 – “Serve the Lord with fear
  and celebrate His rule with trembling.
  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way,
  for His wrath can flare up in a moment.
  Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.”
• Psalm 76:7 – “You alone are to be feared.  Who can stand before You when You are angry?”
• Psalm 85:9 – “Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him.”
• Psalm 103:11 – “For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
  so great is His love for those who fear Him.”
• Psalm 111:5 – “He has given food to those who fear Him.”
• Psalm 115:13 – “He will bless those who fear the Lord.”
• Psalm 119:120 – “My flesh trembles for fear of You and I am afraid of Your judgments.”
• Proverbs 1:7 – “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.”
• Luke 1:50 – “And His mercy is upon generation after generation toward those who fear Him.”
• Luke 12:4-5 – “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.  But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell.  Yes, I tell you, fear Him.”

• 1 Corinthians 6:20 – “For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.”
• Romans 15:6 – “so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
• Philippians 2:11 – “and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
• 1 Peter 4:16 – “but if anyone suffers as a Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to glorify God in this name.”

• Exodus 3:12 – “And He said, ‘Certainly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship God at this mountain.’ “
• 1 Corinthians 14:25 – “The secrets of his heart are disclosed; and so he will fall on his face and worship God, declaring that God is certainly among you.”
• Hebrews 12:28 – “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”
  

The Salvation Call:

Jesus is everywhere all the time. He can hear you now if you ask Him for forgiveness. Please turn your life over to Him now. Time slips by so quickly, don’t miss this opportunity. If you want to pray and ask Jesus to be your Saviour, you can say a prayer something like this:

“Jesus, I know that I have sinned against You. I know the truth is that I have sinned by my own choice, and I am the one responsible for it. I know that I have earned punishment from You, and that the fair punishment would be death. Jesus, I believe that You died in my place. Forgive me for my sin. I cannot cover or take my sin away, I am relying totally and only on You. You are the only one who can save me. I reject my sin, I turn away from it, I repent. Come into my life, take away my sin, and show me how to live my life in a way that is right and pleasing to You.”

If you have prayed this prayer, sincerely from your heart, you are saved! You are now completely forgiven, a new creation, innocent in the eyes of God. Welcome to the family of God!

Accept His grace now.

On a study note, Revelation 14:6 begins with the phrase: “And I saw another angel”.  The sixth angel with the 6th trumpet comes first and not the reverse order.

The second message from the 3 angels:

Babylon’s fall prophesied:

Revelation 14:8 – “And another angel, a second one, followed saying: ‘Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who has made all the nations drink of the wine of the passion of her immorality.’ “

This is God’s Word sent through the angel that the demise of Babylon is imminent.  The fall of Babylon is prophesied.  This includes both the Beast Empire in Revelation 18 and Spiritual Babylon in Revelation 17.  Babylon will fall.

The phrase: ‘made all the nations drink of the wine of the passion of her immorality’ is a metaphor.  It can also read: made all the nations partake of the sins of the passion of her immorality.

The third message from the 3 angels:

‘Doom for Worshipers of the Beast’:

Revelation 14:9-12 – “Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, ‘If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger (KJV: ‘the cup of His indignation”); and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.  And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark or his name.’  Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.”

All people are warned not to take the mark of the Beast.  This dire warning occurs prior to the implementation of the mandatory mark by the False Prophet.

Also of importance is the fact that ‘the beast and his image and receiving a mark’ is written twice.  You must always take ever word of God seriously and fearfully, but pay special attention whenever something is written twice.  It’s done deliberately and with purpose.  James 1:16 – “Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.”  Heed the warnings.

The phrase: ‘drink of the wine of the wrath of God … cup of His anger’ means they will be found guilty of sin and sent to the lake of fire, forever.  There will not be any second chances.  It’s deception from those who say ‘you can change your mind after taking the mark and be forgiven’ – THAT IS A LIE – or ‘hell isn’t forever’ – the Bible clearly says: ‘forever and ever’.  God’s word is truth:

• Psalm 117:2 – “For His lovingkindness is great toward us, and the truth of the Lord is everlasting.  Praise the Lord!”
• Psalm 108:4 – “For Your lovingkindness is great above the heavens, and Your truth reaches to the skies.”
• Psalm 111:7 – “The works of His hands are truth and justice; all His precepts are sure.”
• 2 Samuel 7:28 – “O Lord God, You are God, and Your words are truth.”
• John 17:17 – “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.”

In summary:

1: fear, glorify and worship God

2: warning of the impending doom of Babylon

3: warning people not to worship the beast or his image or take the mark of the beast – it is a very solemn admonition
